Amber founded Hamlett Consulting in 2018, after years working in the public relations field.
Amber Hamlett is the Owner & CEO of Hamlett Consulting LLC., an Atlantic City-based public relations/communications firm, specializing in branding, social media marketing, event planning and media relations.
Amber founded Hamlett Consulting in 2018 when she saw a need to innovate public relations support for organizations in and around Atlantic City. Most recently, she joined forces with… Thomas-Boyd Communications, a Moorestown-based public relations agency, to enhance the communication services available in the area. She also curates’ content for various Jingoli/Atlantic City initiatives. Amber has taken on international client Ørsted, a renewable energy company utilizing green energy and wind, while creating an imprint with clients and stakeholders in the New Jersey area
Prior to starting Hamlett Consulting, Amber was Assistant to the Director of the Counseling and Wellness Center at Rowan College Gloucester County (RCGC). While at RCGC, Amber planned all the Counseling Center events, facilitated mutually beneficial relationships between the Counseling Center and relevant community programs and business, and created content for newsletters and social media. Before that, she served as community outreach liaison at Behavioral Crossroads, where Amber used grassroots marketing to build clientele and community partnerships.
Amber prides herself on thinking big-picture and has a knack for problem-solving by calling on her public relations skills. In her community, Amber saw a need for youth voices to be heard. She then joined the Coalition for a Safe Community where she worked hand and hand with CEO and Founder in identifying ways to address violence in Atlantic City and create “safe places” for youth.
Additionally, Amber serves as youth representative to the Atlantic City Executive Council, which was formed in October 2018 by Governor Phil Murphy and focuses on ensuring the state and local government work together to ensure a positive and sustainable future for the city.
A graduate of Stockton University with a degree in communication studies, Amber was actively involved in the local chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America and served president for one semester. She was recognized with numerous awards and scholarships for her efforts. Additionally, she helped to launch Stockton’s student-run public relations firm, StockPro, which enables students to work with real businesses and organizations to gain hands-on experience while developing, implementing and overseeing public relations campaigns.
Additionally, Amber serves as youth representative to the Atlantic City Executive Council, which was formed in October 2018 by Governor Phil Murphy that has a focuses on ensuring the state and local government work together to guarantee a positive and sustainable future for the city. She also serves on the board of the Atlantic City Arts Foundation. Her positions include Co-Chair of Public Relations Committee and the Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The Atlantic City Arts Foundation shows community pride and civic self-esteem through interactions with public art, including the city’s largest mural arts program. Amber was elected to become a board member of the FARM Team. The FARM Team is a non-profit organization that aids individuals to achieve a purposeful life free off addiction
